• Revolutionizing Emission Control: Moving Beyond PGMs with Electric-Field-Assisted Technology
    2026-03

As global prices for Platinum (Pt), Palladium (Pd), and Ruthenium (Ru) continue to soar, industry urgently requires a sustainable alternative to dependence on precious metals. This is especially critical in challenging environments where Sulfur (S) or Silicon (Si) can lead to irreversible PGM poisoning and prohibitive replacement costs.

At Texas Emission Solution (TES), we are accelerating the development of our Electric-Field-Assisted Base Metal Catalyst System (EFAC)—a solution designed for resilience and cost-efficiency.

Latest R&D Milestone (Test Site: SJTU Shanghai):

Target Pollutant: We have completed pilot tests focused on Carbon Monoxide (CO) as a primary indicator.

Breakthrough Performance: Achieved a 99.16% conversion rate at a bed temperature of only 117.1°C. This demonstrates the extraordinary capability of electric fields to trigger low-temperature light-off on base metal surfaces.

Non-Thermal Advantage: Our results confirm that "non-thermal activation" significantly outperforms traditional thermal-field catalysis in low-temperature energy efficiency.

Technical Insight: The "Energy Inflection Point" Every technology has its physical boundaries, and transparency is key to engineering excellence:

The Efficiency Curve: Our data identifies a clear Energy Inflection Point. While the electric field provides a massive efficiency boost during the ignition phase, we observed that marginal energy consumption stabilizes once conversion exceeds 99%.

The TES Value: Our expertise lies in defining this "inflection point" for specific applications—balancing maximum conversion with optimal energy consumption through precision power management.

Roadmap to Market: We are currently scaling these findings to complex Hydrocarbons (HC) and multi-component VOCs. This technology will be integrated into our flagship ESC (Emission Solution Catalyst) series.

Scheduled for Market Launch: July 2026.

Stay tuned as we continue to deliver lower-carbon, more transparent, and economically viable emission solutions for our global partners.
